Prayer for Those Who Serve Beside Us
Lord,
We pray for those who have eighteen wheels
On the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We pray for those civilians who provide services wherever active-duty military goes.
We pray for those who face the same IEDs and mortars even though they don’t wear the military uniform or carry a weapon.
We pray for those who keep our troops well supplied and taken care of despite the dangers they face every day.
We pray for these patriots—young and old, men and women.
We pray for those who have sacrificed alongside the troops.
May their pathways be smooth and straight.
And may you bring them safely home each day.
